A discussion about teaching standards is unfolding from an email received from FASTS.
The following extract from the FASTS email initiated conversation...
"...the growing teaching of science, mathematics and computing outside the public universities may be of interest to some societies in terms of accreditation of courses or graduates, quality of graduates and teaching infrastructure or even membership of organisations (eg Deans of Science)."
The question was then posed as to whether anyone had any issues with the quality of graduates etc from private universities.
Some comments were received regarding the standard of recent graduates (both good and bad), and also regarding the retention of these graduates.
I'll hand it over to ARPS website users to continue the discussion
