Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will possess: 

• Significant relevant experience in managing complex projects within a highly regulated industry/environment.  

• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, in particular the demonstrated ability to provide sound advice and prepare written reports and briefings.  

• Demonstrated understanding of the importance of workplace culture that embraces safety and security and is collaborative and inclusive.  

• Well-developed interpersonal skills that foster trust and cooperation, and a proven ability to work effectively and with integrity within a politically sensitive environment.   

• The ability to work in a fluid environment, remaining flexible, agile, and adaptable supporting colleagues at short notice.   

• A valid Australian drivers licence. 

We are ideally looking for a candidate who has:  

• Detailed knowledge and understanding of transportation and fleet management and/or dangerous or hazardous material 

• Experience in, or a sound understanding of, working in the delivery of nuclear and radioactive waste management and disposal programs and projects 

• Experience in, or a sound understanding international radioactive waste management supply chain 

• Experience in, or a sound understanding of transport and packaging of radioactive materials 

• Experience working in highly regulated environments  

• Experience in, or sound understanding of Nuclear Security and/or Nuclear Safeguards requirements 

• Sound understanding of Commonwealth Government processes.
