Simon Booth is a radiation safety leader with more than 20 years of experience across regulatory, advisory and technical roles. He has worked as both a government regulator and an industry leader, with expertise in radiation safety leadership, NORM management, industrial radiography, borehole logging, emergency response and regulatory compliance. Simon is also a qualified Trainer and Assessor, with a strong focus on workforce capability, risk management and practical radiation protection outcomes across the oil and gas, mining and industrial sectors.
With over two decades of experience in radiation science and protection, Dean is a leading expert in radiation safety, ensuring compliance across diverse industries. His expertise extends to nuclear medicine, mining, and oil & gas, where he has developed innovative solutions for radioactive waste management and risk assessment. As a dedicated ARPS, AIOH, and ARPAB member, Dean is committed to advancing the field and safeguarding the environment and as a Certified Radiation Safety Expert (ARPAB) and board member, Dean has actively participated in advancing the accreditation framework.
Lauren Steen is an experienced business leader with more than 15 years in the STEM sector, specialising in compliance, risk management and operational strategy within the resources industry. As General Manager, she supports safe, efficient and sustainable outcomes across complex projects. Her background spans technical and executive roles, with strengths in governance, stakeholder engagement, operational improvement and translating regulatory requirements into practical business solutions. Lauren is passionate about advancing best practice in radiation protection and serves on the Executive Committee of the Australasian Radiation Protection Society, contributing to industry standards and knowledge sharing.
